”Mommy?
The sweet sound of Adellia's voice broke Aubrey out of her thoughts and caused her to look down. Little girl's fingers were up and playing with her mother's curls, a bright smile was on her face. Such a beautiful smile, twinkles were also in her eyes... her innocent eyes, they held nothing but love, love for her mother. Aubrey's lips curled into a brief smile, feeling irritated that it couldn't match her daughter's, but she had smiled, nonetheless, albeit the fact that she acknowledged it appeared more like a grimace.
“Yes, hunny?”
She questioned, toning her voice down, thus making it as gentle as possible. Adellia was held contently in her arms, also protectively, making sure that she was safe with her. Glancing around her surroundings, she could hear and see cars lining up in such busy traffic. The Big Apple never sleeps. Guess she had to actually believe that. She brought her slender fingers to her daughter's soft dark hair (inherited from her father) and moved it to cover her ears, to perhaps, block the loud noises around her.
“I wanna see fire!”
Now, Aubrey's grimace was becoming more visible and she cringed. She knew exactly what her daughter was talking about; Adellia always had such fascination with Aubrey's powers, she loved to see them: she loved to see the fire dancing around her mother's fingers. “Er.... I don't think this is the right time for that, Addy. There's peop-...” but she had to abruptly stop upon seeing the big, puppy eyes that Adellia held. Oh crap. She would never be able to handle this one. Sighing, she nodded her head thoughtfully. “Alright then...” Looking around, the blonde texan began to search for an empty spot, where people wouldn't able to see her using her powers. She found a rather uncrowded park, trees were standing tall around it, pretty sure could hide them well. She went behind one of the trees, out from any other people's sight, and sat down on the grass. It was damp, and there were slight smells from soils around – she assumed that it rained the other night. She gave Adellia's forehead a soft kiss, then placed her down on her lap, Addy's back was pressed against her chest and she held out her arms infront of her daughter. “Just remember, don't touch it,” she murmured, earning an eager nod from the little girl. Aubrey focused, her eyes turning red, and then in mere seconds, fires ignited from her fingers. She couldn't help but chuckle, as Adellia squealed in excitement and held her tiny hands up. ”It's warrrmmmmm,” she cooed adorably.

For once Darel wasn't killing anyone today, it was just a nice regular day. Wow it was different, a bit too different. He hated it already. He wandered through the streets for a why before coming up with a weird feeling. Being in tuned with a few people he was able to sense something new. A person using an ability, he easily made his self invisible by projecting his self as nothing to other people.
Taking a quick silent steps to where he felt the signature e saw a woman using pyrokinesis. A very common ability now and he backed away. And made his self appear in the bench in the park, "Nice ability..." he said as he looked at the woman. "And nice daughter."

Aubrey's eyes shifted up, upon seeing a man appearing on the bench suddenly. An immediate frown of cautiousness flashed in her expression, she extinguished the fires and pulled Adellia closer protectively. Her fires might had been extinguished, but her eyes were still bright red, showing that she was alarmed by this man's sudden appearance. Adellia, ignoring her mother's protective stance, attempted to walk forward.
"Mommy! He called me nice!"
She exclaimed brightly and innocently, though Aubrey leaned down and whispered to her daughter's hair, making sure it was clear enough for her to hear. She pulled her again as Adellia attempted to break free. "Addy, don't. Let me talk to him first," she told her. Then her eyes moved to the man. "Who are you?"
"What is your name, mister?!" Adellia chirped in, earning a slight frown from Aubrey but she didn't say anything else.

Darel didn't move from his seat, there were a few types of pyrokinetics that were extremely dangerous by their limits. Those who can shoot fire, those who can only manipulate, but not create, and those who can cause fire to just burn in any direction just by looking. And so he knew he didn't want to experience any level first hand. Darel felt the over protectiveness of Aubrey, that was normal she was a mother.
Darel wondered what his mother was like, was she still around? Did she know who or where he is? All questions for another day. As she asked him who he was he answered gladly, "Darel Nathaniel Franchetti. No one special." he replied. It was weird sensing two different vibes from the parent and child. One was eager to met, other was eager to get over this situation.
Mothers. Children. Darel thought solemnly as he had killed both before. He wonders if he'll ever feel guilty. True guilt and not someone elses guilt over the same topic. "Nice to meet you both though."

Adellia giggled as the man stated his name. He didn't make any movement, nor did Aubrey. Instead she eyed him, this man had appeared so suddenly, there was a possibility that he was not a normal human... he might be one of Aubrey's kind. The fact caused her to be more careful - she might sounded like a paranoid, but she simply couldn't trust people easily anymore.
"Nice to meet you too, Mr. Darel! My name is Addy," the little brunette squealed, excitement in her voice. "And this is my mommy, her name is Aw'beey..." Aubrey had to fight the smile that was starting to form on her lips; After all these years, Adellia still found it hard to pronounce her mother's name. But Aubrey never minded, she would learn soon.
Adellia's attention turned back to Darel, her eyes showing curiosity and interest. "Do you have powers too? like mommy?" she asked. Aubrey looked up, curious to hear his answer as well.

Darel listened to the little girl it was strange he never really talked to other people younger than him. Mostly because he found them a liability, witness and most of all loose ends. He understood her name to be Addy, probably a shortened name or nickname. Looking up at the woman as she said her mother's name. He tried to decipher the other's words, looking at the girl once more as she asked him if he had an ability he nodded.
Standing up he raised his hand causing bubbles to fly outward, the looked real and the felt real but they weren't real. All just a simple illusion. Soon the bubbles surrounded him and they popped making him disappear. He reappeared next to Aubrey, "I sense your distrust, you shouldn't trust me really. But in all honestly I mean no harm. I find your relationship wiI never had a mother or any family for that matter." he murmured in the woman's ear.
That one was a fake the real one was still in the same spot where the bubbles popped as he then "reappeared" in the spot while the fake Darel stood next to Aubrey.

Aubrey had a firm grip on Adellia's body, but not firm enough to damage the little girl – it was simply to prevent her from walking away even further. She had no idea what he was capable of, thus she figured it would be safer to keep her daughter in close distance, albeit her little protests. Adellia appeared to be very curious of Darel. I wonder why, kid never been this eager before she mused in her mind. Breathing a deep sigh, she brought her fingers and began to brush it softly through Adellia's hair, this action always seemed to calm the kid's energy down, something that Aubrey needed at this moment. Fortunately, it worked, Adellia stopped wiggling and sat back down on her lap.
Looking up, she noticed that bubbles were appearing out of nowhere and began to surround Darel's body. Narrowing her red eyes, she continued to witness in interest. Adellia began cooing, and then bubbles popped out. All of sudden, Darel was next to her, whispering to her ear. Aubrey jumped slightly at this and Adellia merely shrieked in surprise before she stared at him again. Frowning, she listened to his words carefully.
“I apologize if it offends you, but I'm just bein' cautious. I simply refuse to trust anyone that easily, 'specially in this city where most people are nothin' but freakin' criminals,” she stated. It appeared like he was just intrigued with their relationship, and when he said that he had no mother, or family at all, Aubrey stared at him for a moment. “I see,” she ducked her head. “... Well, my name is Aubrey, and this is Adellia but she prefers to be called Addy,” she nudged with a slight smile to her daughter whom still was smiling brightly. Her smile faded and she looked at Darel again... the real one. “So that's what you do? Duplicate yourself?”

"No offense taken, it is only natural to distrust in a place like this." the fake Darel disappeared after saying this, "No, I cast out any type of illusion that comes to my mind." he corrected. Walking over he bowed a bit, "A pleasure to met you Ms. Aubrey and you to Ms. Addy." Darel looked back at the other two. This was different, he never really explored other people's feelings like this before.
"It is a pleasure to meet you two, so what brings you here to the park?" he asked interested.

"Yeah, I know," Aubrey muttered simply, a nod following her agreement. She definitely knew that she had to be careful, this city was not the safest place ever. Criminals were everywhere; murderers, rapists, muggers... those kinds of people were lingering around, she dared to say, almost freely.
"That's impressive," she said, his brief explanation of his powers sinking into her mind. Adellia giggled and bounced a bit. "That's cool," she exclaimed, another wide grin on her lips. Aubrey smiled briskly, then nodded her head. "You too," she simply stated. "Well, we were just walkin' 'round, and little Addy here wanted to see some fire. So I brought her here, where I could use my powers without anyone noticin'," she told him. "I love mommy's fire! they're very warm." Adellia giggled. "What are you doing here in the park, Mr. Darel?"

b]"Yes, that makes sense, exposure no and days is dangerous to the closed minded people."[/b] Darel said. This world was going straight to Hell. Darel was able to see what people truly felt which is why he never got close to many people. And still it bothers him knowing the truth, he knew those perfectly capable of murder. The true reason behind people's smiles and tears.
That was all too disturbing, turning to listen to the girl and their reasons for being here it was strange. A fascination with fire? No the girl is possibly too young to realize what is happening. Weird. Or just weird and strange to him anyway. "I'm just here fading in and out. Watching people. Nothing much."
